Even though Jon Bon Jovi has spent decades as a rock n' roll superstar, he's also a devoted husband to his wife of 27 years, Dorothea. For the most part, their life has been a dream!
One might expect that the years on tour and constant flood of attention from fans caused bumps in the road, but Bon Jovi sets the record straight . . .

Most people don't know that Jon Bon Jovi and Dorothea Hurley were highschool sweethearts and spent every waking second of their youth together. Whether Dorothea went, Jon followed - and vice versa! From shows in New York City, to nights studying for tests, the pair were attached at the hip!
In a recent interview with PEOPLE Magazine, Jon explained that they even each other out in good times and bad.
"She's the glue. I'm the crazy visionary with all kinds of things flying, and the seams are all splitting. She's the one following me with the glue and the thread and needle, keeping it all together."
Fortunately, Dorothea's level-headed brilliance was exactly what Jon needed in his rock n' roll life of little structure! So the couple stuck together and decided to work out whatever problems may arise as a team.

During a stop in Los Angeles, California, on the The New Jersey Syndicate Tour in 1989, Jon and Dorothea decided to do something crazy. In between shows, the young couple drove to Graceland Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas and eloped!
Their commitment was officially recognized before God and the Elvis impersonator who married them!
Over the decades, Jon and Dorothea's love only grew deeper. Even the hoards of obsessed female fans don't phase Dorothea, as she explained to PEOPLE.
"I think it's great they love the music. They love the band and are so loyal."
Millions of women pining after Jon probably would've bothered any other woman, but Dorothea knows Jon is devoted to her!

They've raised four gorgeous children together, built their home and given back to those who are less fortunate. Their the picture-perfect Hollywood couple with souls of gold to back it!
Dorothea told PEOPLE that their bond all has to do with keeping the same stride as her husband.
"Somehow it works. I think because we grow at the same rate. We grew equally and not in opposite directions."
Fame and fortune tear most couples apart, but not Jon and Dorothea!

Their life may be a little different from other people their age, but Jon told PEOPLE that he wouldn't change things for the world!
"Somehow I became the poster boy for a long-married rock star. But I'll accept the mantle because I'm so happy."
In a day and age where marriage isn't taken as seriously, Jon and Dorothea's relationship is as close to perfect as they come!
