Shah Rukh Khan's recent amazing speech at TED Talk in Vancouver, Canada made headlines recently. It was not surprising in the least considering the superstar mesmerised the crowd with his wit and intelligence. The actor spoke on a gamut of topics including social media and its ill effects, politics, films, education and more. However, he also included some rather tricky and sensitive topics in his otherwise rousing speech. These were subjects that had always been part of the rumour mills but which he finally addressed.
One such strange rumour was that AbRam Khan, born to Shah Rukh and Gauri, four years ago, was actually his elder son Aryan Khan's child! It was said, in hushed whispers, that he was the result of an affair between Aryan and some Romanian girl. What gave further air to this rumour was the fact that AbRam was hidden from the public eye for a while after his birth and everything was kept tightly under wraps by the Khan family. There was another controversy involving Aryan when, a few years ago, a video, showing a boy who bore a striking resemblance to the teenager and a girl who looked like Amitabh Bachchan's granddaughter Navya Naveli Nanda in a compromising position, got leaked.
Shah Rukh finally spoke about the episodes and the distress it caused him and his family during his TED Talk. "Four years ago, my lovely wife Gauri and I decided to have a third child. It was claimed on the net that he was the love child of our first child, who was a 15-year-old then. Apparently, he sowed his wild oats with a girl while driving her car in Romania. And yeah, there was a fake video to go with it. And we were so disturbed as a family.'' he told the audience.
Leave it to SRK to turn even a serious conversation into light hearted one. He went on to speak about how Aryan dealt with the whole fiasco saying, "Aryan, who is 19 now, retorts to even a hello with "I didn't have a European driving license.''
The superstar spoke about how this baseless rumour "disturbed" him and his family and we can only imagine how horrible it must have been! He elaborated on the downsides of social media and how it's used to disrupt people's life instead of being used for more constructive purposes. Point taken Mr. Khan!
On a lighter note, the father-son duo are absolutely inseparable as they go to cricket matches together and indulge in other fun shenanigans leaving us in a constant state of 'Awww'. Have a look!
