2 Chainz has cleaned house after his Atlanta restaurant failed a health inspection last week. The rapper dismissed five 'rookie managers' from the eatery, according to TMZ.
An insider told the gossip website, that 2 Chainz hired new and experienced managers for his establishment Escobar Restaurant and Tapas. As we previously reported, the restaurant failed a health inspection scoring 59 out of 100 after a two-hour assessment with the Georgia Department of Public Health. Among the issues cited were raw seafood next to utensils, black and red mold-like substance inside the ice machine and a lack of soap or paper towels by the hand-washing sink.
This is 2 Chainz first foray into the restaurant business so he has a lot to learn himself. Escobar has been in operation for nearly three months (it opened in December), and the reviews on Yelp are not favorable either.
The 39-year-old rapper-turned-restaurateur reportedly believes that he hired inexperienced people to run the establishment. A rep for 2 Chainz told TMZ that changes needed to be made so they can "continue to be champions of food safety, service and just plain good food."
The restaurant is scheduled for a another inspection on March 3.
