As most of the world braced itself for Donald Trump's inauguration back in January, a young Aussie singer chose the moment to celebrate LGBT+ history.
Troye Sivan premiered his stunning Heaven music video, which sees him embrace a lucky man while historic visuals from the fight for LGBT+ rights play out, including gay icon Harvey Milk, scenes of Pride parades, and protests for same-sex marriage.
And joining him on the track is fellow Aussie popstar Betty Who, who has already told us why she owes her career to the LGBT+ community.
"Troye, for me, is the ultimate," she told GT about working with the star. "It was so spectacular and so important and I'm obsessed with him."
Betty added: "I think he wrote the song in a time when people wanted it, and it came in a time when people needed it. The video is so beautiful, and Troye is saying something that maybe a lot of kids are afraid to say.
"It's a heavy subject matter. To have someone who is absolutely just as lovely as you'd expect him to be, to have that kind of faith and temperament and stand up for something that's really important, I think it's just so beautiful and people are going to look up to him.
"I've seen it at his shows and I've seen it when I've been out with him – the way people react to him. They love him. It's moving people in a really lovely way and I'm so proud of him."
So we assume Betty would quite like to work with Troye again, then?
'I would love to write for his next record," she said. "We've spoken about a few things. He's so talented too.
"When he was putting out music, I think people were like, yeah yeah, another YouTube star, and then all of a sudden the music is really good and they were like, 'woah wait.' So I'm glad everybody knows that now."
In the meantime, Betty Who is getting ready to release her new album The Valley, which will be released on 24 March.
It features her latest single Some Kinda Wonderful, which is available to stream and download now. Watch the official music video below:
