Shawn Mendes and Charlie Puth just made a lot of dreams come true. The two singers took to social media today to announce that they're going to be joining musical forces in concert. That's right: Charlie is going to be accompanying Shawn on the North American leg of his Illuminate world tour.
Naturally, Charlie and Shawn broke the news in the cutest way possible. In a casual tweet, Charlie asked, "Hey @ShawnMendes should we tell them?" Shawn responded by tweeting back, "thinking we should!!"
Of course, fans had no idea what Charlie and Shawn were talking about until the latter singer-songwriter let the cat out of the bag with a neon graphic showing the art for his tour. Of course, when news broke that the piano player would be joining Shawn as a special guest during his world tour, fans understandably freaked out. Does this mean that there's a duet on the way? We have so many questions.
It's definitely the beginning of a beautiful friendship. And it gets even better: Shawn also added some brand new dates to his world tour, including stops in Brazil, Mexico City, Toronto, New Jersey, and Philadelphia. And, because he adores his fans, he finished up his tweet-storm by promising that more dates are coming in the future. We can be patient...or at least, we'll try.
