Last Wednesday, country music star Brett Eldredge played Madison Square Garden in New York City.
He finished his performance with the song "Lose My Mind," according to the Digital Journal news site's reviewer, "exhibiting tremendous stage presence and charisma."
Tuesday, he's scheduled to give his hometown of Paris, Illinois, a glimpse of that style.
Eldredge is slated to appear Tuesday in Paris to film a segment of the Country Music Television show, "Hometown Heroes," said Emily Beekman of CMT corporation communications on Monday. The project includes a performance in the old Ernie Eveland Gymnasium at 6 tonight.
That performance is free, but tickets are required. And that limited number of tickets (3,000), with a limit of four per person, were distributed at Eveland Gym on Monday afternoon.
The 30-year-old Paris High School graduate returned to his hometown in 2013 for "Brett Eldredge Day." He performed an Oct. 8, 2015 concert in Terre Haute's Hulman Center, becoming the first Wabash Valley native to serve as the headlining act for a major concert in that venue.
Fans of the recently released movie, "The Shack," have heard Eldredge's song, "Phone Call From God," in that inspirational film.
His hits on the country charts include "Don't Ya," "Beat of the Music," "Mean to Me," "Lose My Mind," "Drunk on Your Love" and "Wanna Be That Song." Eldredge's latest single is "Something I'm Good At."
Eldredge won the County Music Association's New Artist of the Year award in 2014.
