He's still The Boss! Bruce Springsteen makes $50 million from his Australian tour, with fans in Melbourne delivering the biggest turnout


He proved he had the Human Touch when he performed in Australia and New Zealand, earlier this year.

And now the figures are in for Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band's 12-date Summer '17 cross-country tour.

The 67-year-old has walked away $50 million richer after selling an incredible 260,000 tickets.

Melbourne crowds turned out in force to hear the Born To Run singer perform, with 51,000 people passing through the gates at AAMI Park, according to The Daily Telegraph.

Bruce put on two gigs in the city, with the concerts pulling in a whopping $9.7million for the famed musician.

His Melbourne performance was also his most controversial, with the rock icon referencing America's newly-elected President Trump, admitting 'We stand before you embarrassed Americans'.

During one his three Perth concerts the week before, where nearly 40,000 fans turned up each night according to Billboard.com, Bruce told the crowd his band would be part of the 'resistance' against President Trump.

Sydney crowds were not quite as large, with 18,000 fans singing along at Qudos Bank Arena.

The Born In The USA singer played to similar numbers at Hanging Rock, with 20,000 fans packing the Macedon Ranges venue.

During his time Down Under the singer also performed twice in Brisbane and once in Adelaide, The Hunter Valley, Christchurch and Auckland.

Third time touring: The Summer '17 tour was the third time The Boss had visited fans in Australia in recent years, performing previously in 2013 and 2014

The tour marked Bruce's third time in Australia in five years, having visited for his Wrecking Ball tour in 2013 and High Hopes tour in 2014.

The tours earned more than $135million and sold more than 680,000 tickets. 

His performances continued his four decade long career, with Bruce belting out hits such as Hungry Heart, Long Tall Sally and I'm On Fire.

The icon has more than 300 songs in his back catalogue and has released more than 20 albums since 1973's Greetings from Asbury Park, N.J.
