Tove Lo has announced a trip to Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas at The LINQ Promenade between festival weekend performances at Indio, Calif.'s Empire Polo club. The Swedish electro-pop singer-songwriter will take the stage at Brooklyn Bowl on Friday, April 21 as a part of her 2017 Lady Wood Tour.
Ebba Tove Elsa Nilsson was born outside of Stockholm in 1987 and given her lifelong nickname and stage name "Lo" (singular for "lynx" in Swedish) by her godmother at the age of three because of her love for the animal. The daughter of two academics, Lo described her upbringing as "safe" in a 2015 interview with BBC's Mark Savage, noting that she was "looking for something else." So she started a girl band with three friends and began writing songs at age 10.
Lo's sultry recording style is echoed through her energetic and evocative live performances. Shades of darker and heavier grunge influence penetrate Lo's music, but audiences across the world have found themselves entranced by the sweeping, melodic tapestry of her songwriting. More than just a performer, Lo has co-authored songs for the likes of Ellie Goulding and collaborated with artists like Coldplay, Alesso, Nick Jonas and Wiz Khalifa.
The intimate atmosphere of Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas will provide the perfect opportunity for fans to experience Lo's energy in an intimate setting just days after (and before) performing in front of tens of thousands of eager onlookers in the desert of California.
Doors for Tove Lo at Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas open at 7:30 pm. This show is for all ages. Tickets start at $28 (plus applicable service fees) and are currently on sale to the public at the Brooklyn Bowl box office, by calling 877.987.6487 or online at http://ticketf.ly/2mfYIEx.
