Imagine Dragons have released the colorful, muscular video for their intense new single "Believer." The track will appear on their as-yet-untitled third album.
Dolph Lundgren, a martial artist and actor best known for his role as Ivan Drago in the film Rocky IV, stars in the clip as a boxer who goes head-to-head with Imagine Dragons' lead singer Dan Reynolds. Between scientific, colorful imagery of DNA strands and muscles, Reynolds fights through his pain and blood in the tough match. At one point, he tells Lundgren that he can't go on, with his opponent encouraging him to continue.
"I had to get in shape because he's the biggest badass of all time," Reynolds told Men's Journal of his training for the video. He had already begun working with a trainer following his diagnosis with Ankylosing spondylitis, a type of inflammatory arthritis that was causing the musician incessant pain. "I told my trainer we had to step it up."
